Forfar Athletic: the Loons, every matchday.

A senior Scottish football club at Station Park in Forfar, with fixtures, news, tickets, sponsors and fundraising all running through one website.

Forfar Athletic home page

A club that posts a lot

Forfar Athletic's website is the club's main channel to supporters. Match previews, team news, results, galleries, highlights, lotto draws and club announcements all go out through it, several times a week in season. When we counted in October 2026 the site had published more than 680 posts. Everything is written and posted by the club itself, so the site has to be quick and hard to get wrong for whoever is posting.

What it carries

  • Match centre: fixtures, results and the league table.
  • Tickets and matchday: ticket information, matchday information and matchday packages.
  • The team: first-team squad and management.
  • Club information: officials, history, policies and documents.
  • Pitch booking, so the community can hire the facilities.
  • Fundraising: the 50/50 draw and the Loons Lucky Lotto, with results posted after each draw.
  • Supporters' club, sponsorship and the club shop, each with its own page.

Built on WordPress for a reason

For a club run largely by volunteers, WordPress is the right tool: people already know it, and posting a match report from a phone is straightforward. We keep it updated and hosted behind a content delivery network, so a rush of supporters on a cup weekend does not slow it down. See websites for football clubs.
