Case study · Football club

Arbroath FC: a club site and a shop.

The Red Lichties play at Gayfield Park, on the edge of the North Sea. The club has two sites with us: its official website and a separate online shop.

The club site

Arbroath FC's official website covers a lot of ground: news, men's and women's teams, fixtures and results for both, league tables, ticketing (home, away and season tickets), hospitality, the club's community trust, its history and legends, and AFC TV. The club also runs the Junior Smokies supporters' club for fans under twelve, which has its own place on the site.

  • Match centre with the next match, last result and the league table on the home page.
  • Two teams, one site: men's and women's fixtures and results kept separately.
  • Ticketing information for home and away matches and season tickets.
  • Community: the community trust, meetings and events.

The club shop

The Arbroath FC shop is a separate WooCommerce store, so the shop can be run, updated and promoted on its own. When we counted in October 2026 it listed 136 products: home, away and goalkeeper kits, junior kits, training and matchday wear, fashion, accessories, gifts, a range for babies and even one for dogs, as well as matchday hospitality packages at Gayfield. Payments go through Stripe, and the shop ships worldwide for supporters who have moved away.

Why two sites

Keeping the shop separate means a new kit launch, with its rush of orders, never slows the club's news site, and the shop can carry its own navigation built around products rather than fixtures. Both are looked after by us. See online shops and websites for football clubs.
