What we already do along the coast
- Hogan's Alley plans golf tours of Scotland for visiting golfers, and Carnoustie is one of the courses on its list.
- MML Law, a Dundee firm, lists homes for sale in Monifieth and Carnoustie in the property section of the website we look after.
- Doorstep Glass Recycling collects in both towns and has a page for each.
Two kinds of customer
Carnoustie's links bring golfers who book months ahead from overseas, usually on a phone, usually comparing several options. Accommodation, food, golf shops and taxis there need websites that load fast abroad, explain things a visitor would not know, and make booking or enquiring simple. That is where a content delivery network earns its keep.
The other customer is local. Both towns have grown as places to live for people working in Dundee, which means trades, nurseries, clubs and services with customers who search on a Sunday evening for "plumber Monifieth" or "dog groomer Carnoustie". For those businesses the website's job is to show up in that search, look trustworthy, and get the call.
Where to start
If you are a local service business, a clear site with a page for each service and an accurate Google profile usually does most of the work. If you serve visitors, start with what an outsider needs to know. Either way, we can talk it through.
